IP FILTER - the good old firewall

IP Filter is a firewall supported on NetBSD, Solaris and FreeBSD. It works together with IPNAT (which does the mapping and redirecting) and ALTQ (for traffic shaping). Although there are more "sexy" alternatives such as PF (OpenBSD) or NPF (NetBSD), IP Filter is a proven firewall which does everything fast and as expected and for small and middle-sized organizations it is exactly what one needs.
